About Wrangell Data

Wrangell Data is a no-code, browser-based data wrangling tool designed to simplify data transformations and cleaning tasks.

The Vision

Our vision is to be the best data wrangling tool for everyone from analysts to engineers. We want to make data cleaning, transformation, and preparation as easy as possible for everybody, whether they code or not.

The Mission

I’ve taught data exploration, data transformation, and data cleaning to many people over the years using Python and pandas. These are great tools, but there is a steep learning curve, and I’ve never been convinced that notebooks are the best way to do this.

That’s why I created Wrangell Data - I personally want to have a different way to work with data that is more intuitive and easier to use. I hope others find it useful too - but if you don’t - I want to find out why and improve it.

The Team

My name is Jeff Linwood, and I’m the creator of Wrangell Data. I’ve been a professional software developer for 25 years. I’ve worked as a consultant, a technical co-founder, and as a developer educator. I’ve taught classes on data engineering, machine learning, and web application development for large companies.
